Not for the Faint of Heart!
We've never been able to resist a red shoe! And Christian Louboutain is as good as it gets! Now we concede that this yummy shoe is for the younger among our readers and those who don't get dizzy on a glass elevator ride! And we must say that of the platforms that we like, the platform itself is not displayed on the bottom but is within the vamp as shown here. Combining it with the d'Orsay style sure captured our attention!
The covering here is pleated red satin, but this shoe is also shown in lilac gold and black leather, as well as a funky red mirrored covering.

Two Spring Trends Captured by Zac Posen:
Asymmetry and Manipulation of Fabric!
Two big trends among top tier designers for this spring are asymmetry and unique arrangements and draping of fabric. Referred to among the cognoscenti as "manipulation" of fabric, it often takes the shape of bows, or unique flourishes at the bust or as here by Zac Posen in the gorgeous loop of this copper tinged acetate and silk material and the very elegant gathering around the waist and draping around the skirt. Yes, dahlings, its a budget buster but doncha think the knockoffs are going to be such fun! And what a clever idea to use the metallic fabric with such a classic, the so sort of Grecian intimations of the styling! You go, Zac!
